The RWA at RP2 is very proactive in getting all the residents together for all festivals. Like every year, Holika Dahan and Holi Milan (Dhulandi) were celebrated with lots of enthusiasm.
Many ladies came to do the traditional pooja before igniting the pyre, and various items symbolizing prosperity and well-being, such as roli, rice, turmeric, moong dal, and batasha, were offered. As the pyre was lit, everyone went around it as a symbolic gesture. Very soon, many people broke into dancing to the foot-tapping music.
The next morning was a picture of energy at a different level. A rain shower was set along with a professional DJ who was given a strategic place to set up his music so that he would be away from squirts of water from pichkaris and ballons. Many residents came down to the Kota grounds to enjoy the festival with each other. The RWA arranged Gujiya, Kachori, and Thandai for everyone. A couple of food stalls with a wide variety of food items were also set up so that no one would be worried about having to go home and cook food.
Both events were very well organized, and all the residents came together to have lots of fun with each other.
