Holika Dahan was celebrated on 7 March at Wellington, residents were there in full spirit and a big gathering enjoyed the festivity. It started at 7 pm when some ladies performed their pooja before Holika Dahan, and some afterwards. Ladies put Gulal eeka on each other’s forehead and wished. There were some Tandoori snack stalls also, and residents enjoyed it. The next day was the actual Holi celebration. As instructed by the WECA management, From 10 am to 2.30 pm residents played Holi with dry colours. Even then, some couldn’t control themselves to use wet colours. There was a DJ to cater to dancing feet and for taste buds, there were food stalls serving dishes.
