Holi was celebrated with full fanfare in the Holiday Club on 8 th March. All the colony gates were decorated in vibrant colours welcoming all for the festival. The club authorities and the staff organized the celebration very systematically. The front lawn of the club was for people who wished to play with dry gulal and flowers. Brightly coloured umbrellas and awnings were erected. Members could leisurely sit with their drinks and snacks and play whenever they wished. The rear lawn had a more charged atmosphere with DJ belting out popular foot tapping Holi songs. The members danced till the end and the place was buzzing. The venue wore a festive look with colourful dangling decoration at the entrance.
The members and their guests had to buy coupons for drinks and snacks. We saw people not only from our colony but guests from other areas too coming and enjoying themselves. The authorities took the arrangements a notch higher by sending a Holi hamper of sweets, thandai and colour to all the residents. A very thoughtful gesture indeed.
Another group of ladies played Holi in C-Block Park. They applied Chandan on each other and brought goodies like muffins, dhokla and samosas from home. Pot luck has its own charm and strengthens a feeling of community. They made merry by singing and dancing in the park. This is the same park where they all get together every day for yoga. Sipping garam chai and munching on dry fruits. That is the essence of all festivals where we all come together and observe our age old traditions and have fun.
The “safai karamcharis” of the parks in Panchsheel Enclave were rewarded with holi hampers on the occasion of Holi by Eros Hotel. The meet was arranged through Seema Malhotra, the director of Scope Plus and other park ladies joined to make the workers feel special.
The festival of colors was celebrated at Holiday club on 8th March, 2023 in full glory. The club authorities gave the whole colony a festive look, by decorating all the colony gates with yellow & orange fabric designs. The club area was divided into two sections. The front lawn was dedicated for playing dry holi with flowers and the lawn was decorated with vibrant spring color awnings and sitting to enjoy the ambience with sections dedicated for drinks and snacks.
The Rear lawn had an electric atmosphere where young and old were immersed in color and dancing to popular tunes of Bollywood music. The DJ did a fantastic job to keep the audience engaged till the end. The entrance had colorful dangling decorations and with a swing photobooth at the start of the entrance. The place was buzzing with people not only from Panchsheel but nearby areas like Jangpura and Noida. The snacks and beverages were served at the start of the lawn area and coupons were distributed prior in time. People had the opportunity to exchange the coupons during the event. However, the entry should not be restricted for members based on passes. It should be done only for guests. We thank the Holiday club committee for organising the event in such a systematic way. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event.
