On 24 March, Holika Dahan was done in the Sector-50 Community Centre complex with elaborate puja in the presence of a large number of residents. This year the mahurat time for dahan was late in the evening, at 10.30 pm. However, the RWA made good arrangement of refreshments and music of dhols for warming up of the members. Residents started collecting in from 9pm onwards. Early in the evening families had started coming with puja thalis for the traditional worship of Holika bonfire. At night, mandir pandit ji performed puja and the bonfire was lit. As the flames of Holika Dahan went up the sky, the people there looked up in joy and smiles of hope of good wishes and for better times to come. They greeted each other with gulal and gujiya.
