The festival of colour, song and dance, Holi, was celebrated on the 8th of March. C park was earmarked for playing with colours so that the rest of the complex remained clean. Many children had been displaying large pichkaris for many days while playing in the evening and the day had arrived for their use. They all gathered in the park, along with their parents and many enthusiastic residents quite early to begin their celebration. Their squeals of joy could be heard loud and clear.
To add to the festive air Holi songs were played. People, drenched in the colours of the rainbow made merry, dancing, laughing, and enjoying playing Holi after a 3-year Covid-induced gap.
At one o’clock a piping hot lunch was served in the same park. It was a complimentary lunch by SOCA (Silver Oaks Condominium Association) for residents, a first-time event. It was much appreciated and all enjoyed the tasty food.
It was arranged as a Holi Milan so that the residents could meet and greet each other at the festival. A large enthusiastic gathering of the residents was a delight to see.
