As in the past many years, Holi Milan is a big grand affair in S Block. This year, celebrations were at a bigger scale as the venue was shifted from Children’s Park to a much bigger ECO park. There was a religious belief too. It is said that Holi Milan should be organized at the very place where “Holika Dahan” is done.
Elaborate arrangements were made by the managing committee of SBWS for the Milan.
All guests/residents were welcomed by MC CC members by showering them with rose petals & by applying a “tikka” with “Chandan paste”.
A DJ with a dance floor was in place. Professional dancers dressed as Radha Krishan & as peacocks entrained the residents with scantling Holi Dance numbers, accompanying the celebrations.
On the food front, to begin with, “Thandai” & “Dahi Bhalas” were served.
In the meantime, ladies of the block danced on the floor with full vigor, enjoying the overall ambience of the ECO park, which is absolutely lush green & flowers all around.
Lunch comprised of “bedwi” poories/Kachori, aalloo & sithaphal subzi, Pulao, Chhole, topped with Desi Moong Dal Halwa & tea.
