Holi was celebrated with usual great enthusiasm on 25th March in Ridgewood. For those who preferred dry Holi, arrangements were made in LM block Park, where music and food stalls were provided. Residents danced and had fun, with only Gulal used, making faces unrecognizable. Wet Holi was in a separate park, open to all, including children who do not believe in dry Holi, as many adults and senior citizens prefer. It was a great day, lasting well into the afternoon, filled with laughter and vibrant colors.
On 24th March, Ridgewood residents enjoyed an evening full of dance, music, food, and, of course, the bonfire (Dahan) of Holika. With the sudden drop in temperature, the weather became very pleasant, adding to the already enjoyable program. A professional dance troupe presented a scintillating presentation based on the Radha Kishan theme of Phoolon ki Holi, playing with Gopis, captivating the audience. An array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine stalls saw a big rush and high sales, while fashion accessories also had brisk sales, adding to the festive atmosphere. The RWA deserves kudos for organizing such a memorable and enjoyable evening for the community to cherish.
