Holi Celebrations in Santushti: A Festival of Colours and Joy

Holi, the vibrant festival, which marks the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring, brought together residents of all ages of Santushti Apartments in a grand cel-ebration filled with colours, laughter, and togetherness.

On 13th March evening, Holika Dahan was organised where the holy bonfire was lit symbolising the burning away of negativity and ego and bringing in warmth and happiness. Residents came together and offered Puja followed by Parikrama and offering grains and other ritualistic items into the sacred flames. Prasad was distributed, children danced and everybody greeted each other. With the successful completion of Holika Dahan, the excitement for Rangwali Holi reached new heights.

The Holi celebrations began early on the morning of 14th March as residents gathered in the central park of Santushti. Bright gulal, organic colors, water balloons, pools for children and the star attraction Rain Dance added to the festive spirit.

No Holi celebration is complete without music and dance, and our society was no exception! A DJ was set up, playing Holi songs that had everyone grooving. The beats of Rang Barse, Balam Pichkari, and Holi Khele Raghuveera filled the air as people danced with unrestrained joy.

Food stalls were also set up that offered mouth-watering delicacies.

One of the best parts of the Holi celebration in our society was the way it brought everyone together. Neighbours who rarely get a chance to interact amidst the busy schedule of life come together, laugh, dance, and exchange wishes. With colors in the air, music, and smiles on every face, the festival was a beautiful reminder of joy, unity, and new beginnings.
