Holi the festival of colours hold special significance in various parts of our country. But the essence of Holi lies in then victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and love &
brotherhood amongst all. The popular stories associated with holi are that of bhakt prahalad and his aunt Holika. Holi is about devotion, about love and about celebration. Krishna/s Raas Leela with gopis is holi, prahlad’s devotion to God is holi and celebrating the colours of nature in spring is holi. We have such a rich tradition of celebrating every festival by offering prayers to god and then celebrating it. SJ Enclave as always celebrated the festival with gusto. All the blocks held celebrations in their own ways. There were celebrations with lunch in A block, B2 and B3 block. B4 Block had Holika dahan in their park along with tea, samosa and Gujias. MLA Bharti and Councillor Sarita Phogat also joined in the celebrations. Somnath Bharti lit the holy pyre amongst Gayatri Mantra and bhajans sung by the colony ladies. RWA distributed colourful caps to all and people applied gulal to each other. In B5 Block one RWA held the function at central park along with lunch and the other RWA had nice small get together at B5 Park. Festivals bring cheer and happiness and join the communities together. Let us all celebrate the spirit of Holi and create a loving, respectful harmonious society that integrates all.
