The N block Welfare Association organized a Hepatitis-B vaccination camp in collaboration with Development Assistance, which is a society for Study, Research, Plan-
ning and Action.
The venue was their Senior Citizens Room and the date was 11th September. A total of sixty people took the benefit of this venture.
Jenevac-B of Serum Institute of India was administerd at a meagre cost of rs 100. Hepatitis vaccine is given in 3 doses and it provides lifetime immunity against the deadly disease. The next two doses are slated for 16th October and 20th November, 2022.
For the benefit of the uninitiated, Hepatitis-B damages the liver, can lead to liver cancer or cirrhosis. It cannot be cured by treatment but can be prevented by vaccination.
