As has been well established, the pandemic has greatly harmed the learning ability of our children. This is especially true for students from underprivileged sections of our society.
They had no access to online classes due to lack of devices etc. As a result, for almost two years, all learning had come to a standstill.
With the intention of doing something to help these children, a group of ladies from various sectors have got together and have worked with the Basic Education Department, G.B. Nagar, for the past year. The mandate was to improve English language skills of these students.
This year, we plan to focus on reading skills, both in Hindi and English. With donations from our well wishers, we have managed to purchase books which we will give out to the children to read.
We are looking for volunteers who can devote an hour or two a week and help us to run this library project.
A small effort on your part will make a big difference to these children.
