Umeed Cancer Society, in association with Golden Lioness Club and Arya Samaj GK-2, organized a day long Health Camp at the Arya Samaj Mandir Complex GK-2 on 29th February‘24. Residents of GK-2 as well as those from the areas around GK-2 thronged to the Camp for a free Health examination that covered Eye checkup, optometry, Bone Density, Gynecology, Breast Examination, Dental Checkup, ENT, Blood Tests and BP Checkup. The primary objective of the Camp was to create awareness among the marginalized sections of the society on health issues. Speaking on the occasion, Lalita Rakyan, President, Umeed Cancer Society and Past President, Golden Lioness Club, said that such Camps were regularly organized by the Society at different locations round the year. The Society had tie ups with various hospitals for treatment of Cancer and Eye ailments and with the Chennai based Medoform Pharma for free supply of medicines.
