We are delighted to share that the Health Awareness Program held at our happening joint was a great success! More than 100 residents of all ages from across the colony attended and gained valuable insights.
Dr. Vivek Gupta, an Oncologist (PSRI & NHI) – 9990057517, and Dr. (Prof) U. Satyanarayana , Consultant Cardiologist – 9560683865, from Medanta delivered a mind-boggling discussion on lifestyle and its impact on health .
Dr. Vivek Gupta emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups and screenings for early detection. He also highlighted the availability of a vaccine for young girls to protect against cervical cancer and stressed the need for timely vaccination.
Furthermore, he apprised the residents that one organ that does not develop cancer is the heart, as it works continuously throughout our lives. He stressed that if all our body organs function properly, we can stay fit by maintaining good nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and routine health check-ups. He also pointed out that pollution is a major cause of lung cancer, making it essential to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Satyanarayana echoed the same thoughts, emphasizing that one should enjoy life in moderation—whether it’s food, exercise, or daily habits. A balanced approach to life leads to better health, reduced stress, and overall well-being.
As a special gesture, Sushil Bagga Ji and Swati Bagga graciously distributed BP monitors and digital thermometers to all participants, ensuring they have the tools to monitor their health regularly.
Everyone left the event happy and enriched, having gained valuable knowledge, a handful of gifts, and mouthwatering snacks that made the evening even more delightful!
A heartfelt thank you to all the residents who attended and made this session meaningful!
