Last year one mali working in the sector had difficulty in buying books for her daughter studying in Class 9 in a public school. On my request Harshita Goel daughter of Pradeep Goel without any reservation paid him money to buy the books and the family was relieved of mental constraints caused due to financial capability of the family. Girl secured a merit position in her annual School result. This year he approached for help and Harshita Goel without a second thought said buy NCERT books for Class X and take the money. Harbhajan Wadhwa informed that he has also given set of books to needy students. Manoj Kataria and his wife residents of our Sector conduct coaching classes for students. He could not find free open space in the sector so he orga-nised parents meet for Books Exchange Fair in Sector 52. Twenty-seven parents participated and exchanged books of their wards studying in class VI to XII. This is another way of doing social work by utilising available resources.
Vikas Sharma working at Jaipuria Plaza also helps students to get surplus books for distributing to needy students.
