As the winter transitions into spring, the surroundings are filled with a pop of floral colours. The trees and flower beds are all laden with numerous flowers. We also welcome the festival of colours, love and spring- Holi!
As the Indian mythology goes, we celebrate Holi for the eternal and divine love of our beloved Radha- Krishna, for the triumph of god over evil- ‘victory of lord Narasimha over Hiranakashyapu’ and to welcome the season of new harvest of spring.
Holi is celebrated on the ‘Palguna Purnima’ last full moon.
All the families of South City A block gathered together at Harmony Park to celebrate our festival of colours. The eminent organisers Sagar Bola and Team had precisely planned the entire event. There was Food, a DJ, refreshments and an air filled with colours and high spirits. It was a sight to behold- the kids running around with pichkaries filled with coloured water and all covering each other with different colours of gulaal.
All the residents danced to the tunes of Holi songs and enjoyed each other’s company, relished food and refreshments that were arranged for all.
Towards the end of the festival when all went home happy and content the organisers stayed back and cleaned the entire park- A warm gratitude to each one of them for making this Holi worthwhile.
