A beautiful and wonderful Teej 2024 programme was organised by the LB Cultural Committee of AOA 4, coordinated by Seema Narang (T1/ 101), Fatima Khanam (T18), Reena Chibber and Komal Sharma. The event was planned on the evening of Wednesday, 7 August, the Hariyali Teej day, 5 – 9 PM, in the Lotus banquet, Planet Lotier.
Almost 200 LB women residents turned up for the event making it a wonderful celebration of the year. The event started with Ganesh Vandana and then a few group dance performances by Ranjana Ma’am group, Sarita group, Poonam group, Aarushi group and Fatima group.
All group dance participants performed marvellously on lovely Bollywood numbers on rain and theme special songs.
A Teej Queen contest was also held in which several ladies participated; winners were chosen on the basis of the theme of the event, that is, Green/ Magenta Ethnic Attire with Solah Shringar. Richa Didwania of Tower 21 won the Teej Queen title followed by Manya Purohit as Runner up.
A lovely and humorous skit was performed by Roopa Sharma ji and her friends. We ladies danced nonstop on the beats of the DJ. How can we forget our Housie/ Tambola without which any event looks incomplete? So, lastly, all the attendees played Tambola and got beautiful artificial jewellery gifts for it.
The Teej celebration culminated with a sumptuous dinner.
