NFC Music Concert
New Friends Colony is phew… quite a happening place full of energetic and creative people. Spear-headed by the “same duo” (Puja Jain and Rahul Chhabra)-(remember the T-10 NFC Cricket Tournament, Dec 2023) yet again, and of course, which would not have been possible without the help (both financial and moral) of few other generous residents of NFC, a “Music Concert” was held on 25 Feb at the B-Block Skating Rink Park, NFC. The gathering was absolutely overwhelming (250+). The entire atmosphere was abuzz with nothing but just “happy faces with smiles from ear-to-ear dancing and singing away to their hearts’ content” till 5.30 pm… does that not itself speak of the great grand success of the duo’s idea, the hard-work in execution, the very very generous hands of a few residents who made it happen….and above all the fact that residents are so forth coming to extend a helping hand in support for each other. Thank you, our generous ones!!
It seems that since Dec 2023, there are just too many interesting things happening in NFC, from the T-10 Cricket Match to the Music Concert. Residents have the choice of participating in whatever form of entertainment he/she enjoys. This also acts like a stress-buster in addition to aiding community building which is absolutely imperative in today’s times where life is so fast-paced. Everyone of course, is busy through the day, but then over weekends, they sure love their music and party as hard as they work!!
Well, I have to really report that at the ‘Concert’, the ‘duo’ really did all and the participants were spoilt for choices. Present at the concert from 11.30 am was a professional singer with his band, a professional dance instructor to take a trial class for “Jive/Rock n Roll”, Karoake and a Dance Floor…. uuuffffff!!! The choices for the hungry stomachs were thoughtfully planned with Dilli-6 chaat, freshly made Kullad Chai on the spot, soft drinks, herbal tea… and the list goes on…
I can only say that watch all social platforms for more events by the duo and just make sure to book your tickets beforehand or else you might miss the bus and the fun. I was part of the concert and enjoyed every moment thoroughly. It was an amazing experience. I met many residents in person with whom I had only had a chat over the phone at times…it was really nice meeting them. Many residents also tried their vocal cords and some tried a step pr two with the dance instructor and was extremely impressed to see the kind of talent in the colony irrespective of the varying ages! Lastly, I truly enjoyed all that the concert had to offer and will sign off by saying that…. the concert was an experience that I will never forget…. kudos to the duo and wish them the best to continue serving the community…in their words of December 2023 after the cricket match….”abhi aur picture baki hai hamare doston…”.
