Happy 2023 – A Highly Spiritual Start: Citizens Forum-Vasant Kunj

Indeed, a highly spiritual start of year 2023, with Prayers in Havan-Yagya and with a special Charity Campaign for distribution of Blankets amongst the Poor  and the Needy, making it
so wonderful and memorable, in the service of our Vasant Kunj citizens.

It started with a Havan-Yagya on 7Jan, the First Saturday, in the Santushti community Hall (D6) with the help of their President, Sneh Lata Rathi and her team, followed by a session of Meditation and Naturopathy by highly popular Dr Pooran Chand of the Sivananda Yoga Center.

Supported by Rtn LN Rao, President of Rotary Club Delhi Vasant Valley, the Event ended with distribution of bundles of blankets to the Guards of D-6.

The sacred prayers and the warmth of blankets in this sever winter brought bright smiles on all present.

On 11 Jan another 45 blankets were distributed amongst the staff of C8 in the benign presence of our Councillor, Inderjeet Sehrawat, Dr Pooran Chand and the C8 RWA President Savita Soni and her team. The blankets were, as usual sponsored by C8 residents: Smt and Shri Satish Gupta and family.

Then came the most attended Havan-Yagya Event on 13 Jan in B-4, on the highly auspicious occasion of Lohri Festival, also celebrating the Birthday of RWA President, Vijay Malik.  It was also followed by the great Meditation session by Dr Pooran Chand, and with the Distribution of over 45 blankets arranged by Vijay Malik, amongst the RWA workers. The function was attended by over 200 participants including BJP Councillor Inderjeet Sehrawat as also AAP Councillor (Lado Sarai) Rajeev, Followed by the traditional Cake-cutting and a fabulous Lunch. On Auspicious Makar Sakranti, 14 Jan, another bulk of 45 blankets were Distributed in Sector C-9 through Dr Pooranji to the RWA staff.

The demand for blankets is growing and we are quite hopeful to meet the needs during this severe winter with the support of our benevolent RWAs/Citizens.

The next Havan Yagya of this month is already booked as usual in the Old-Age Home on the last Saturday, 28 Jan, sponsored by Neelam Kapoor, well known personality in Hospitality Sector.

It’s indeed a great privilege for us to add our little mite in the service of our society. We also pray for the continued support of our citizens in helping spread our ancient wisdom and cultural Heritage.
