Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in the E Block Park of Anand Niketan jointly by the ladies of E Block. The ladies of the E Block got together and did the entire decoration for the event.
The singer for the evening sang the Sunderkand paath in a melodious voice and every two dohas was interspersed with a beautiful bhajan that was accompanied with beautiful live music. The three hours went away in a matter of minutes. Those who were present got carried away with the devotional fervor.
Hanuman jhanki in which a devotee is dressed up as Hanuman Ji was taken out around 7:00 p.m. This was thoroughly enjoyed by the children of the colony. The food for the Prasad for the evening was very tasty paneer along with chaat pakodi. This too was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents.
The Prasad for the evening was sponsored by Meenu Kumar and the residents could be seen partaking of the sumptuous meal with gusto. 300 to 400 people participated in the event and the children and the adults alike enjoyed the evening. Youngsters too participated enthusiastically in the bhajan sandhya.
