Hamilton Court Residents came together on the 6th October night to celebrate the auspicious festival of Navratri, a beautiful night of devotion and dance, where tradition and joy come together to create magic and invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga, the embodiment of strength, grace, and power. The message was loud and clear through the energy of Garba and Dandiya, we connect with this divine spirit. Each beat of the dhol, each twirl of the ghagra, and each tap of the dandiyas was a prayer, a celebration, and an offering to the Goddess herself.
The hearts were brimming with excitement mingled with joy as the stage was set for an incredible performance by the participants from the age group of 5 years to 80 years.
The senior citizens of the community performed the song ‘Shubharambh’ which got a standing ovation from the audience cheering their spirits, rhythm, and discipline. The second performance that stole everyone’s heart was that of children dancing to a beautiful Garba number — ‘Mor Bani Thanghat Kare’ capturing the playful and joyfulness of peacock dance.
The third performance was by the Hamilton Ladies who with their colorful spins, and soulful expressions on the rhythmic beats of dandiya sticks reminded one of the beauty of devotion and love. But the show stopper was the dance number ‘Khalasi’, a beautiful fusion of devotion and modernity. The powerful beats and intense rhythm took the audience by surprise, it was indeed an outstanding performance.
Navratri is not just about dancing—it’s about celebrating life, love, and the divine energy that binds us all together.
