Gyanda Bharti Charitable and Educational Trust, an NGO providing after – school education to 175 children from the weaker section of society, celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm and respect. The school was decorated with saffron, white & green balloons & flags. The ceremony started at 9 AM with flag hoisting by Poonam Awasthy, the founder. All sang the National Anthem in unison. A pledge, patriotic songs, dances, poems, thoughts and a wonderful skit by students followed. A vote of thanks was given to senior students for organizing the program beautifully. The event concluded with sweets; samosas & iced tea being distributed. The highlight of the event was the happy faces of kids wearing tricolour paint on their cheeks.
