On Sunday, 17 November, the Wish Town Sanskriti Samiti organized a soulful celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv, bringing together over 200 residents in a spirit of devotion, unity, and harmony. The event paid homage to the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, who preached equality, selfless service, and compassionate living.
The celebration commenced with a mesmerizing Shabad Kirtan, where skilled Raagis performed hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib, creating an atmosphere filled with peace and spiritual fervour. This was followed by a heartfelt Ardaas (prayer) led by Gyani Ji, seeking divine blessings for the community and spreading the Guru’s message of goodwill and harmony.
The venue was adorned with vibrant floral arrangements and traditional decor, enhancing the sanctity of the occasion. The meticulous efforts of the organizing team created a serene and welcoming environment that resonated with the values of Sikhism.
A highlight of the celebration was the distribution of Kadha Prasad and other offerings to over 500 residents, exemplifying the spirit of seva (selfless service) and Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of sharing and selflessness.
The event stood as a testament to the power of community and faith, strengthening bonds among residents while fostering cultural and spiritual awareness.
WTSS extends heartfelt gratitude to all the residents and volunteers whose dedication made this celebration a grand success. Such initiatives not only honour our rich heritage but also inspire a harmonious and united community.
