The first Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Granth Sahibji is very important landmark for the whole Sikh community. Sep 1, 1604, Guru Arjan Devji, opened Guru Granth Sahibji with a ceremony in Harminder sahib (also known as Golden temple), Amritsar. To celebrate this, every year Golden temple is beautifully decorated with flowers. Thousands of people visit Harminder sahib on this day.
Later, our tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singhji, declared that there will be no other human Guru for the Sikhs. “sab sikhan ko hukum hai Guru manyo Granth”.
