GurSikh Sangat Sector 50 (a congregation of Guru Nanak Naam leva residents of Sector 50 and nearby sectors) celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab (birth anniver-sary) on Sunday 20 November at the Community Centre, Sector 50, Noida.

The celebration happened after a gap of 2 years due to COVID restrictions; hence enthusiasm of devotees was unprecedented.

As previous years, the Community Centre was decked up very nicely for the occasion and the Palki Sahib inside the hall beautifully decorated with pink and white flowers. Arrangements were made outside the Hall to accommodate huge gathering of devotees who thronged the venue in big numbers.

The program began with Morning Prayer from Guru Granth Sahib by members of GurSikh Sangat followed by recitation of Gurbani by members of GurSikh Sangat. Renowned Raagis then mesmerised the gathering with their melodious Gurbani kirtan.

The program culminated with sumptuous Guru Ka Langar, a service of common kitchen started by Guru Nanak himself, which was enjoyed by more than 700 devotees irrespective of any caste, creed or colour – sitting and eating together. In addition, a counter serving Rajmah-Chawal and Tea were a great attraction. Special arrangements were made by organisers for senior citizens and physically disabled people by serving them Langar on tables with chairs to sit on and eat taking care of their comfort.

The organisers also took care by way of setting a separate First Aid area to take care of any emergency.

The program was duly supported by Gurudwara Guru Nanak Mission Sector-37 and Gurudwara Sector-12 of Noida.

Needless to mention about the relentless and continual support of RWA Sector 50 Noida in making this celebration a grand success. The whole program was a great success, with a true depiction of equality and bonding of the humanity.
