Ms. Madhu Bhandari, co-convener took charge, bringing contagious energy to the gathering. She is known for her creative games, which members like very much. She tries to engage every member in her show with humour and joy.
It began with a seemingly simple but tricky game—Alternating Numbers in Hindi and English. Members had to call numbers in a sequence, alternating between the two languages. Members thought it easy, but as soon as the game began, confusion set in, numbers jumbled and tongues twisted. The members burst into laughter as even the most confident participants stumbled. Now it was time for much awaited event—Tambola. A pin-drop silence was observed as Madhu called out numbers, as members anxiously checked their tickets.
Members gathered around to enjoy delicious spread featuring Amritsari stuffed crispy Naan with rich flavoured Chole and seasonal pickle. Chhachh (buttermilk) – a cool, refreshing accompaniment just to keep cool was very much liked in the sun of that day.
