The Ladies Club’s (Regd) flagship meeting was organized at the Gulmohar Club premises on 8th April 2024, Monday. The Managing Committee of this club includes President – Mrs. Madhu Bhandari ; Vice- President Mrs. Pratima Chaturvedi ; Secretary – Mrs. Pushpa Mishra ; Joint Secretary Mrs. Satpal Kaur Bhatia ; Treasurer- Mrs. Meena Gupta.
The meeting started around 4.00 pm with a warm welcome address by the President to everyone. Post that, Secretary Mrs. Pushpa Mishra greeted everyone and recited ‘Ganesh Stuti’. This was followed by Vice-President Mrs. Pratima reciting self-written poems, such as – ‘Dosti Jari Rahegi’ and ‘Kuch Kar ke Dikhao’.
The programme started with a dance presentation of ‘Durga Stuti’ by Mrs. Pushpa Mishra. Everyone welcomed her and appreciated with a huge applause. Mrs. Harinder Kaur and Mrs. Satpal Kaur Bhatia captivated everyone by singing ‘Shabd’. Then, Mrs. Sunita Rajora sang a ‘Sufi’ song which mesmerized everyone. Mrs. Malbika Thakur added charm to the programme by singing a Bollywood song in her melodious voice. Mrs. Anju Gupta also presented a beautiful dance sequence. Next, Mrs. Krishna Deb recited the hymn of ‘Goddess Durga’. Similarly, other members also presented various acts. Now, was the turn to celebrate the festival of Baisakhi which was performed in traditional Gidda style by Mrs. Madhu Bhandari, Mrs. Harinder Kaur, and Mrs. Sunita Rajora. After that everyone came on the stage and started grooving to Punjabi dance songs. All members who participated took the programme to new heights.
Towards the end, the President and Secretary thanked all the members and invited them for High-tea. This Gulmohar Ladies Club meeting indeed became a memorable one.
