A Lucrative Business for a Few but a Nuisance for the
Families Living a Peaceful Life!
Samvada News Bureau
Keeping PGs has always been good business but off late it has become bigger and more lucrative. With the result many people are constructing new houses with lots of small rooms to accommodate as many PGs as possible. This is giving the landlords very lucrative rents and returns from food and other services.
We believe there are hundreds of PGs living in our sector. C block houses 35 PGs who are primarily staff of Kalyan Jwellers. Two kothis in the sector house many nurses. A block has lots of PG girls.
Our past president’s house (B 42) facing the club was bought by somebody who lives abroad. He reconstructed the house with lots of rooms. Earlier it was believed that the house has been taken over by nurses. However, that was not true as the new owner gave it to lots of PG girls.
These PGs became a nuisance for the residents living around. Late night parties, girls having arguments with their boyfriends out in the open became a daily affair. All this disturbed the peace of the families living in the neighbourhood.
RWCS president Govind Sharma on specific complaint from the neighbours warned the Noida Authority of the PG nuisance and requested them to immediately take some action. Nothing concrete happened then.
One evening there was a big fight with the boyfriends of the girls and some residents regarding parking. It probably boiled into a fist fight. All this was recorded on camera. The recording was sent to Prez Govind Sharma who in turn sent it to Noida CEO Ritu Maheshwari.
Next morning Noida enforcement department pasted a notice that the PGs should move out within three days or the house would be sealed (see pix).
