Grievances Of B Block Residents

Residents demand better planning and active participation by Block Reps

RWCS is a body of representatives and one person alone or a handful of active representatives can not achieve the desired outcome. B Block residents feel that the biggest example is in RWCS itself.  S C Mittal and Raju Kaul have overseen the operations in C block. They were seen every morning with Munshi advising him on which area to dig and accordingly the gates were managed. No proper planning happens in B block and it’s always a surprise when you use any road and the same is dug up by evening. In such cases, the residents expect some prior intimation.

If RWCS and B block representatives understand, 70% problems can be solved. Munshi only listens to RWCS representatives, and not the residents.

Shockingly, 2 out of 4 representatives of B Block are unable to manage things effectively and Prez Govind alone cannot manage the whole sector. We as B Block residents have been running from pillar to post every day.

Residents feel that if RWCS doesn’t listen to them then they cannot expect any outside agency to pay heed to their needs. Some residents even find the Security Conveyor’s behavior rude. One by one all four RWCS members have left the group with a helpline number on which nobody responds. We have a caring President, but it is too much for him to handle.

Residents feel that the problem in C Block is not much with S C Mittal and Shri Raju taking care of every minute detail to ensure seamless completion of work. They are on the road every day guiding Munshi and other workers. While on one hand we should be encouraging non-members to start paying the monthly subscription, few B Block residents have stopped paying the same.

Below is a snippet from WhatsApp of a resident which shows the pain felt by the non-member making it difficult to get them converted into a member.

“The heights of horrible planning of the sewage line digging in B block.

I stay in B block, last night my mother and I were returning home from Delhi in my car. I first went to gate 9 and realized it was closed even though it was still 9:45 pm; it was slightly open to allow you to walk in but couldn’t take my car. So, then I drove to another gate which was open. After driving straight in and reaching the T- junction, I realized we couldn’t take a left towards my house as the road was dug up. I reversed and drove out from gate 9 and back to gate 6. And there I parked my car on the main road, carried my 2 pieces of luggage and walked in through the slightly open gate along with my 80- year- old mother and walked all the way to my house at 10 pm in the night. After leaving my mom safely home, I walked back to the gate and went to my car which was on the main road (as I obviously could not leave it there) and drove back to gate 9. There was a security guard there and I asked him on how I could get to my house and he had no clue and instead asked me to talk to the security in charge. He dialled the person in charge and talked to him. He told me that he will send a guard to open gate 6 and asked me to go back to gate 6. I drove back, and to my dilemma, I realized the guard had reached and completely closed the gate and gone. There was no one there. I then drove back to gate 9, which was shut by then as it was 10 pm, so I drove to the main gate, parked my car, and told the incharge about this whole mess. He then told me to go back to gate 6 once again and he would be sending a guard to open it. I also asked him on who’s responsible for the whole planning of digging and gates etc and I was told its RW&CS and Mr Aeron. I asked for his number which the guard was hesitant to provide. Anyways since it was too late by then I was completely exhausted I drove back once more to gate 9, the guard reached there and opened the gate and I drove my car in and parked near my house.

That was my distraught saga on 17th June at 10 pm.What specifically hurt me is that I had to ask my 80 year- old- mom to walk all the way from the gate to the house at 10 in the night.”

This is to all of you and specifically the RW&CS members— God forbid if you had to undergo an emergency and had to take your parents or in- laws in a situation like this What would you do?”

Sewer digging is one issue, as there are various other problems B Block residents are facing, and they feel unheard, unattended, neglected, ignored and disregarded.

B Block residents need active RWCS representatives for B Block like we have S C Mittal and Raju for C Block.

Thankyou to Sector Synergy for conveying to the wider members of the Society how frustrating it is to live in this block with a feeling that we have zero representation on an official level.

The Synergy Group has been nothing but positive and respectful to residents and exec members., an attitude a lot of us could learn from.
