PGI of Child Health Sec 30 became functional in 2017 and the Green Shakti Foundation has been associated with them since then. The Hospital caters to around 800 children from all over India – Kashmir, NE, MP, many from rural areas for blood disorders/cancers, cardiac surgeries, GI, Neuro etcetera.
As the name suggests it’s also a Post Graduate Teaching hospital too.
The foundation carries out several blood donation camps, events like Teddy dances, birthday celebrations, kite flying, blood donation awareness cycling rides etc.
It has also helped with a Bone Marrow Transplant unit where about 30 kids won their battle against cancer.
For its performance, the hospital on its Foundation Day felicitated Green Shakti through Directors of AIIMS Bhopal, GIMS Gr. Noida and Child PGI. I collected it on behalf of all volunteers and blood donors.
