Mala Akbari, a restaurant at 32nd Avenue, takes a step forward to manage its waste responsibly. Seema Menon (G3) requested Slim Homes to conduct a workshop in this regard on the 12th of October 2023. This included an on-site visit to their Cloud kitchen in the South City1 market where the Chef and his team were apprised of waste segregation at source. They were also actively discouraged from using plastic bin-liners. Seema Menon has vowed to make efforts to reduce the amount of garbage produced at the restaurant as well as to undertake effective measures to deal with it.
