Ever since the Councillors have ceased to hold office, no help has been forthcoming for the green belt of Silver Oaks. We have been left to fend for ourselves where malis, plants etc. are concerned. Earlier water was supplied through tankers for the green belts but that has also been stopped.
If the necessary support is not provided soon, we are going to face a summer of hardships.
When the concept of maintaining green belts by RWAs was started, it was promised that help in the form of plants, water, malis and sweepers would be provided by the MCG. Now for many months, this has stopped and the entire financial burden has to be borne by those looking after the green belt.
Even dry leaves and trees which fall are not picked up and they have to be cleared by private lifters who need to be paid.
