Deepak Verma, a known personality who is known for his oratory and humanitarianism, recently participated in a seminar, CONRWA, on March 2, 2024. It was the sixth convention of the Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association, held at the India Habitat Centre, for water management and harvesting, and the chief guest was Hon’ble Justice Pankaj Mithai.
Mr. Verma spoke about the problems RWA faces in general, as he said any new member of the colony who buys a property should mandatorily be made a member of the RWA; secondly, he talked about the government agencies keeping RWA in the loop before paying the contractor off, as many times the work is not done and the contractor is paid the sum; after that, he won’t listen to the RWA to finish the job, a very valid point; and lastly, he advocated that RWA should be given some legal rights to manifest the issues of the colony, as Mr. Kejriwal proposed to make RWA a mini council; Mr. Verma also raised his voice for it in Haryana, but to no avail.
He represented the seminar in the best possible way, and we can only hope for a fruitful result, but his oratory should be applauded. CM Khattar decided to have such conclaves every month, seeing the need for them. He opines that the government wants to reach all residents, and that is why they are planning to open a grievance cell to settle issues in a constructive manner through RWAs.
Deepak Verma is also elected to be the district organizer from Gurugram for the Bhartiya Janata Party. Congratulations and many best wishes to him to pave the way for New India!
