Sunday is when everybody is in a relaxed mood, and they make programs with their family or friends. Children are very excited and eagerly wait for Sunday because they can go out with their parents.
But 11th June 2023 was a Sunday with a twist. Without going out, and braving the traffic and parking woes, parents and children got oodles of entertainment along with mouth-watering food. At W1 park, residents got an exciting event which had 35 stalls of food items, lifestyle and promotions. There were multiple games for kids, adults and senior citizens, based on Bollywood themes. To add more zing to the fiesta the residents had to dress up like an actor or actress and flaunt Bollywood jazzy or glittery attire. The best-dressed resident was to be given a prize too. The program started at 6 pm and went on till 10 pm. Though the park was overcrowded with stalls, even still it had a stage for the performance.
Dance and singing competitions were also organised for different age groups, and a large number of girls participated. Everybody’s favourite game Tambola also took place, and residents won exciting prizes. There was an option to either take the prize or cash. Manju Sharma, Rani Matai and Kusum Vyas were winners.
There were stalls of dresses, bedsheets and bed covers, cosmetics, gift items and ladies’ favourite jewellery also. Some were busy shopping at these stalls, but foodies were attracted to food stalls, and Health conscious people preferred baked and air-fried snacks.
