Gyaandeep celebrated Teachers Day on 5th September with 35 children and 3 mothers accompanying them. Children were given multicoloured sheets 2 days before which they used to put up their best craft in making Teachers Day cards and drawings.
Children presented a small quiz, songs, dance and their experience with Gyaandeep. 2 boys came up with very tough Yogasnas like Headstand (शीर्षासन) and few other exercises. It was amazing watching them.
Harinder shared stories of Guru Shishya relationships and importance of Guru in one’s life. Principal Ma’am Pushpaji shared her experiences when she was a student.
More than 50% of students were awarded today for their academic achievements and extracurricular activities.Steel water bottles and tiffins were given to the winners. This was an initiative taken to reduce plastic use and replace them with more sustainable materials.
Pushpaji stitched a Lehenga Choli for Srishti who won medals in solo and group dance performances.
She made a beautiful dohar using leftover fabrics which was awarded to our multi talented student Mampi who has moved to Delhi to pursue her studies. This time we have a number of all rounder students who are benefiting with our dedicated team of teachers to bring out the best in them. It was a wonderful and overwhelming day full of love while celebrating Guru-Shishya Parampara. Children parted with hands full of fresh fruit, sweets and chocolates. May the torch of Gyandeep parivar stay enlightened always.
