The tenure of the existing managing committee of the Govt Servants Co-operative House Building Society, Vasant Vihar, expires on 21 February 2024. The election schedule to elect the new committee, comprising of President, two Vice Presidents, six general and two women members has been announced. The nominations are to be filed on Saturday, 3 Feb 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm. The polling will take place, if necessary, on Sunday, 18 Feb 2024 at the Society office at Kalyan Kendra, 9 Paschimi Marg, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi – 110057 from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm and the counting of votes and the declaration of Election results will take place on the same day.
Only those Society members are eligible to contest the elections who have completed a minimum period of one year from the date of acquiring membership of the Society to the date fixed for filling of the nominations i.e. 3 Feb 2024. The number of voters is around 1700. The list of members eligible for contesting and voting is available in the Society office, for verification.
If any Member with a voting right is unable to attend, he/she has the option to nominate (on the prescribed form) one of the Joint Members of the same property to vote on his/her behalf, provided the Nomination form is received by the Secretary, GSCHBS, at least three days prior to the date of the election i.e. 18 January 2024.
Gp Capt S Khanna, resident of E 10/9, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi 110057, is the Returning Officer under whose supervision and control elections will take place on 18 Feb 2024.
