Yes, you saw is right. It is a snake. This is C-Road storm water drain in Maharani Bagh. In fact, it is not the first when residents have seen snakes in our neighbourhood, especially in Kalindi (close to the Yamuna bed shrubbery) and Maharani Bagh. As the name suggests, it has many Baghs on perhaps every road. Yet when one morning Dr. Arun Sethi posted this pic on our colony chat, it did startle many of us. So was the guard when the snake came out of the drain around 9.30 am. It tested the air and then slithered away across the Central Avenue, over the wall of the Central Park and into the foliage. So, the warning is look down too when you are out on a walk in our vicinity! Contributed by Vichitra Sharma
