Rudyard Kipling said that God could not be everywhere so he created mothers. And a mother is always a mother – the feeling of compassion is for every child. Shreen Vardhan Sharma, mother of two, happens to be the same. She found a labourer’s girl lying on the ground while her mother was working at the construction site. It broke her heart. She immediately thought of helping the mother. Without giving a second thought she gave an unused car seat to the mother of the child. The woman was a little hesitant and skeptical to take it from as she was not able to understand how she would be able to use it. But once explained she was glad. The car chair has now been put to good use. Shreen often sees the child comfortably lying in the chair, basking in the sun when she goes to pick her children from school. Small incidents like these make you feel sad and happy in a moment. Sad – because so many children in our country still have to go through harsh circumstances. And happy because there are people like Shreen who have a generous heart!
