Mango cannot be respected more than this ! Yes! You heard us right. On May 10th, the Sushant Lok Glow Club ladies had their usual monthly meet and this time they decided the theme to be MANGO, so everything was arranged the mango way from the colour theme to the decoration, the tambola tickets and the menu. A competition was also planned wherein the best sport spirit of the members was witnessed. Total 18 rocking mango-licious dishes (sweet n savoury both) were presented on the table and each dish was a creation in its own. Mango Trifle Pudding (by Mrs. Archana Oberoi), Mango Khandvi (by Mrs. Kavita Jain), Mango Float (by Mrs. Sudha Suri) and Mango Tango Shots (by Mrs. Sangeeta Nayyar) won the show, however none of the other dishes were any way lesser. Each and every member tasted the dishes and casted their vote in the Ballet boxes to select the winners. The prizes were not just for the winners but the participants too were honoured with a token of appreciation and love. From the sash to the crowns, to the accolade straws, and the gifts, all were designed and made (perfectly in sync with the theme) by the core members themselves. The competition was followed by Tambola, a group photo and the ‘hatke’ snacks this time i.e. Puchkas with Mango Salsa and Ram Laddoos. Could there be a better way to celebrate the mango season ? Our neighborhood is flourishing and so should this spirit be !!
