Glorious Dussehra
In Panchsheel Enclave

Inputs by Neelam Ohri

Holiday Club surprises the members with a spectacular Dussehra.
Who says Dussehra means only burning of effigies of Ravan, Meghnath & Kumbha- karan. People say there is no fun without burning crackers and burning of the effigies. Gaurav Bhardwaj and his team has proved it otherwise. No crackers burnt, no effigies burnt, but the fun was manifold. As per description of the festival given below by Sucheta Sood, who attended the celebrations from beginning to end, it was a fabulous effort by the young team of Holiday Club.
If I have to describe the Dusshera Celebrations at ‘The Holiday Club in one phrase I would say, ‘Spectacular and uproarious in total unison’.
It was evident that the management team led by Gaurav Bhardwaj at the helm really sweated it out to put such a meticulously organised and immaculately presented happy festivities, where all enjoyed, from little ones to seniors.
The stage was grand and the sitting arrangements were perfect. Everyone was dressed up for the celebrations.
It is paramount to remain connected to our roots and so I was very pleased to hear the happy, enthusiastic chatter of the children and their eagerness to participate in the Ramayan based quiz contest. It was real fun and frolic. Here not forgetting to mention the lady who anchored the show with great elan and panache.
The laser depiction of Ramayan was grand and magnificent. Everyone watched the show with rapt attention and admiration. Towards the end, some children jumped up in a bid to catch the laser beams. The show ended with Jai Shri Ram chants And then the traditional Damdaar Dandiya that brought many to the dance floor even the mangement team. There were few who danced non stop, some who were on the stage, some who danced at their table and some who enjoyed just watching everyone. The mood was simply tumultuous.
Scrumptious food and snacks with a wide array of courses was abundantly enjoyed.
And as Ms Shikha Rai metioned, this is how it should be- we should celebrate all our Hindu festivals with great energy fervour and pride. All praise & no criticism can make the team Holiday Club a bit arrogant. So, there was a bit of adverse comment too from another visitor, as “The crowd was too big for the given space. Nevertheless,it was a fun filled celebration for one and all.
In all, a Happy Dussehra
