GK2WA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 30th April`23 which was well attended by the colony residents. The Association President Mr Shadi Ram Sharma and the General Secretary Mr Sanjay Rana read out the Performance Report of the Association for the last one year while the Treasurer Mr Ashwani Kapur presented the audited financial accounts for the just concluded financial year.
Among the notable achievements of the Association, as highlighted by its office bearers, were the fight against illegal encroachments, measures to streamline the law and order situation, undertaking cleanliness drives and developing code of conduct for the Builders in the colony. The proposal to implement the new code of conduct for the Builders was unanimously passed at the meeting.
The CR Park SHO, Mr Ritesh Kumar, graced the occasion by his presence and highlighted the security measures undertaken by the police in the colony during his address to the participants of the AGM. He talked about the swiftness with which his team was able to crack a few recent cases of robbery in the colony. He took pride in mentioning that GK-2 had the lowest crime rate among all the areas that came under the jurisdiction of his police station. The interaction with the SHO was followed by an Open House during which residents raised several issues plaguing the colony that included the traffic menace, poor road conditions and sanitation problems.
While committing themselves to working for the betterment of the colony, the RWA office bearers impressed upon the residents the need to make timely payment of their Annual Maintenance charges (AMC) to the RWA as their contribution to the task of creating a better environment for the colony.
