The proposed Medanta / DLF Hospital is a perfect example of how The Deep State operates to usurp Public Land. But to begin with congratulations to GK-I residents for a resounding response to GKRA’s house to house Signature Campaign. Most blocks have sent their signed representations, a few blocks are lagging. Request if your RWA has not yet reached out to you for your signature then please ask them to support GKRA’s attempt to stall this upcoming Nightmare in the Guise of Public Service.
As informed in earlier articles in Samvada, there are many Multi Specialty Hospitals within 3 kms of GK-I and the chaos around all those is proof of what to expect to kill the remaining serenity of our Posh Neighbourhood. There was an earlier attempt in 2015 also, which was stalled with proactive action by GKRA, as DLF started soil tests. The then elected representatives supported GKRA and the project got stalled.
This time round DLF took the clandestine route by engaging with ‘The Deep State’ ie. MCD Babudom, DDA officials and the Standing Committee consisting of our Elected Councilors.
Thanks to Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who on GKRA representation managed to obtain from MCD the entire Chronology of how and when the clearances were obtained. MCD’s Standing Committee first gave clearance on 24-05-2018 with caveat that the proposal gets necessary approval from DDA for the two Plots Amalgamation.
As per information received through Saurabh Bhardwaj the project got cleared by DDA on 25-09-2018 and finally by MCD Standing Committee on 29-07-2021 and NOC issued by the Land & Estate Deptt. on 21-09-2021 while we the lessor mortals were Locked up in our homes due to Covid Lockdown. Now you see the Motives and How the Deep State Operates???
The big question is, how did DDA, Ministry of Environment & Forests and MCD Standing Committee ignore the Mandatory Provisions of ‘Public Consultation’ enshrined in MPD-2021 for ‘Local Area Development’ and the ‘Environment Impact Assessment’ as per Environment Protection Act???
All our elected representatives are aware of how the Pan GK RWA’s feel about the various vacant Public Utility Land. There have been protests against Leasing of Atal Central Park to DLF family Trust for fear of it becoming a private extension of a Multi-storied Residential Complex by DLF, where South Delhi Club stood, as per rumours.
Not just the GK residents being cheated of Public Utility Land, Medanta / DLF have also misled their Shareholders and SEBI should take note as to how News Report announced a 400 Bed Hospital, while the clearance applied and obtained was for 150 beds??? The Deep State & Partners Will Have A Lot To Answer In Court.
