The monthly meeting of GJCSCF was held on 24/ 11/2024 at TT room of Gulmohar Center 5.00 P.M onward. It was the first meeting of the forum after the election of a new management committee. Total 35 members attended the meeting. Ms.Kanta Joshi, Vice President of the forum presided over the meeting. After her welcome address, she informed that the newly elected President of the forum has not come back from DUBAI where he was visiting his son. He is expected to come back tonight.bIn her welcome address the Vice President mentioned that after eight long years the members will miss the forum’s Ex.President Mr.Y.Sahai ‘s gracious dignified personality. With his dedicated hardwork and dedication the forum has flourished well. All members praised his contribution to the forum.
The first performer of the day was Mrs. Pratima Chaturvedi who recited her self composed poem ‘‘दोस्ताना’’ in which she emphasized the importance of friends in our life. The words and emotion of the poem was heart touching. It was followed by huge applause. The second performer of the day was forum’s multi talented member Ms. Geeta Jha who recited her self composed two poem’s “खैर छोडो कोई बात नहीं and अनजिया सपना”. Mrs Jha has her philosophy of life that was reflected in her poem. It was appreciated and felt by all the members.
The third event of the day was Mr. Vimal Bhan’s melodious song “पुकारता चला हूँ मै गली गली” it was appreciated by all with huge applause. Mrs. Malvika Thakur the super Singer of the forum presented “फिर तेरी कहानी याद आ”. It was beautifully sung. She also mixed the Bengali version of the song and all enjoyed her super singing melodious sweet voice. Another singer was Mrs Manpreeti Sahgal presented a Gazal ,ऐ मेरे दिल नादा तू गम से न घबराने. in her deep voice it was beautifully sung. Mrs Manpreet was appreciated by huge applause. The last musical perform of the day was Mrs Shashi Bhardwaj as she presented “अजीब दास्ताँ है ये कहाँ शुरू कहाँ खत्म” in her sweet melodious voice everyone remembered the tense moment of the film among Nadira, Meena Kumari and Rajkumar. It was appreciated by all with huge applause as well. After that Mr. Vinay Sharma and Mr. Beni Bharwani presented their self composed Shero Shayari.
The most awaited event of the day was.the felicitation of Mrs. Morines Sahdev, as she has completed 85 golden years of her life by. The GJCSCF presented a Shield on behalf of the forum by Mr.K.M.Azad which was followed by huge applause. All members congratulated Maureen and wished her happiness and a healthy, cheerful life in coming years.
Mr K M Azad presented token birthday gifts to all birthday boys and girls whose birthday falls in the month of November and that was followed by cutting of cake and mouth watering snacks and tea from the club kitchen.
