JCSCF held its monthly meeting for the month of December on 5th January as the Dec meeting was postponed due to Gulmohar Center’s prior booking. Though it was too chilly, a
total of 50 members attended the meeting.
The meeting started at 4.30 Pm at TT room and the forum’s newly elected President Mr. Subhash Saluja presided over the meeting for the first time. He welcomed all the members and wished them a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead and mentioned that with the cooperation of all members he hopes that the forum will achieve a new horizon and the coming year will be full of events. He informed the forum of one of the senior member Mrs. Chandralekha Sharma demise. Two minutes of silence was observed in memory of Mrs C.L.Sharma. He further informed that It’s a proud moment for the forum that Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi was elected Vice President of Indian National Academy of Engineering for two years. This information was welcomed by huge applause. Members congratulated Mr. Chaturvedi and wished him more such achievements in the coming years.
Mr Saluja informed that another achiever is Mr. Amrit Sharma. The Kaushambi Foundation on the occasion of late Prime minister Mr Atal Bihari’s birthday honoured him for his social and religious work. Then he invited new Cultural Secretary Mrs Malvika Thakur to start the evening’s musical concert. Mr. Vinay Thaur willingly offered to compare the programme. He is an expert in this field, always sharing detailed information about songs. The first event of the day was the solo performance by forum’s singers. Before starting Mr.Thakur introduced Mr. Vikash, the talented musician at keyboard. It was the first time the forum’s members presented their songs with instrumental support. First performer of the day was Mr. Vimal Bhan and his song was eSus rsjs fy;s gh lkr jax ds lius pqus lius lqjhys lius. Mrs Malvika Thakur was the next singer. She is a versatile singer. She sang the song fQtk Hkh tok toW. It was beautifully sung and everyone was mesmerised by her super voice and expertise of the singer.
The third solo singer was the surprise performer of the day, the President of the forum. He presented Anand film’s song was मैने तेरे लिये ही सात रंग के सपने चुने सपने सुरीले सपन in his bold voice. It was appreciated by all with a huge applause. The next solo singer was Mrs Annu Arora who presented फिजा भी जवा जव in her soft voice. Mr. Vijay Sharma sang जो बात तुझ में है in his deep voice while Mrs. Shashi presented अखियों के झरोखओ से तुझे देखा जो सांवरे in her mesmerising voice, the words of lyric made impact on listeners heart. Mrs Veena Sharma sang & दिल का दिया जला के गया in her sweet voice. Mrs Krishna Dev was appreciated for her song न हम तुम्हे जाने न तुम हमे जानो – It was marvelous presentation by all singers.
After that medley on M Rafi was presented. All singers presented a rapid performance of songs based on ftUnxh title, all of them joined in the singing. In the end all requested Mr. Vikash the instrument player to present a song. He sang the song अभी न जाओ छोड़ कर कि दिल अभी भरा नहीं, all singers joined him in that beautiful song from the film हम दोनों – None of us were ready to leave the room. It was a marvelous evening with soulful music. The credit goes to our new talented cultural activities incharge Malvika Thakur.
In the end Subhashji thanked all the singers for their valuable contribution. This was followed by cutting of cake and birthday celebrations. Mr Azad presened token birthday gift to all birthday boys and girls on behalf of the Forum. All Enjoyed bread pakora and tea from the club kitchen and had chit chat.
