GJCSCF hold Annual General Meeting and election of New Management Committee on 10th November 2024 at T.T.Hall of Gulmohar Centre. Total 53 members attended the meeting. Mr.Y.Sahai, the President of the Forum welcomed the members in 8th annual general body meeting. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of Forum’s departed members, the honorable Vice President Mrs. Ruby Guha and Mrs Sheela Upadhyay, the mother of Mr. Praveen Upadhyay.
Mr. Y. Sahai informed the house that this is his last address as the President of the Forum as he has completed two terms as the president. He thanked all the members for their continuous support. He also thanked Mr. K.M. Azad, Mr. Amit Gupta of Amit & Arun Chartered Accountant for his unconventional cooperation and support.
After that Mr. Subhash Saluja the Secretary of the Forum presented the Secretary report for the year 2023-24. In his report Mr. Saluja presented a brief description of forum activities during the financial year 2023-2024.
He informed the House that the Forum held seven meetings of the managing committee. The forum has organized talks on medical and social issues. Mr. Mathew Cherian, Chairperson CARE India, CEO Helpage India enlightened the forum with his speech on “SECRETS AND PRINCIPALS OF ACTIVE AGING”. A talk on Cyber Crime was presented by the Cyber Crime Cell of Delhi Police. Senior Executive of Central Bank of India also appraised different saving options for senior citizens.
Dr. Lalit Kant, honorable member, presented a talk on Influenza and Pneumonia and importance of annual vaccines particularly for senior citizens. The Forum organized a vaccination camp for Influenza and Pneumonia with support of Dr. Lalit Kant in association with Gulmohar Sports cum Community Centre.
He informed the house that Forum’s e-magazine was doing well and the credit goes to Mr. Umesh Sahdev’s hard work, dedication and devotion. He also appreciated the contribution, cooperation and dedication of forum’s cultural activities convenor Mrs Pushpa Mishra and co- convenor Mrs Madhu Bhandari for presenting, planning, organizing entertaining activities for forum’s members throughout the year. The forum organised its Annual picnic at Madhavgarh Farms in February. The members enjoyed the day with various activities.
The following were elected by the General Body with an overwhelming majority. Mr Subhash Saluja – President, Ms. Kanta Joshi—Vice President, Mr. Rajiv Bhalla — Secretary, Mr. Vijay Sharma—Treasurer. Managing Committee Members: Mr. I. C. Bhardwaj, Mrs. Pratima Chaturvedi, Mr. Umesh Sahdev.
The meeting ended with mouth-watering lunch.
