GJCSCF held its monthly meeting on 25th February 4.00PM onward at TT Hall of Gulmohar Club. Y Sahay, the President of the Forum welcomed all the members and informed that the forum’s picnic at Madhav Grad farm was a great success. We will organize more such programmes and hope a large number of members will try to attend and enjoy.
He said that the forum is proud of its members who are still active and working in national and International institutions and are renowned names in their field of expertise. He congratulated Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi for becoming Elected Chairman(Delhi Chapter) Indian Academy of Engineering, Ms.Malvika Thakur for becoming Winner of First Voice of Gulmohar with highest points and Mr Vimal Bhan to be elected as runner up in the same contest. He also congratulated Mr.P S Dhingra for receiving Excellence Award For his contribution by Rotary International in which he is a member since 1993 and for his selection as Vice President of Rotary club. All Achievers were congratulated by huge applause. (Mr Pradeep Chaturvedi was not present).
Mr P S Dheengra started the evening with his self composed gazal and later he also recited a self composed romantic poem. It was enjoyed by all. Mr. Sahay requested to nightingale of the forum Mrs. Malvika Thakur sing her award winning song She sang the famous gazal ^^vkt uk** All of us enjoyed the mesmerizing depth of gazal and melodious voice. Dr Vinay Sharma recited some shero shayari from his book “. ,d deA
Mr. Sehgal the birthday boy highlighted his life journey and recited Chad arshar from a gazal. Mrs Sehgal due to some prayer appointment joined late but she came well prepared to celebrate the birthday of her husband Mr Sehgal and sang a romantic song for her husband in her beautiful voice.
Mrs Geeta Jha speaking on what is happiness explained happiness is chidanand felt by heart and the seeds of happiness generated at mother’s womb and whatever mother’s emotions at the time of pregnancy, they reflect in her child.
Mr Suman the birthday boy while expressing his opinion on happiness said that for him happiness is a state of mind and it could be different from person to person and time to time, depends upon individuals choice of priorities and what gives him immense pleasure. As for him he is mostly happy with what he has as he is fond of traveling and exploring new places and photography he feels himself happy doing so. He also describe his recent visit to a remote village at Vietnam where he spent a full week amongst tribals during their festival and witnessed essence of real happiness, enthusiasm which was tremendous and commendable.
Mr. Mehata when asked about his point of view about happiness he smiled with his easy go lucky attitude and informed that his happiness lies in his passion for walking. He almost walks more than fifteen kilometers regularly in the morning and evening. Mr. Mehata’s always smiling face also indicates his attitude towards happiness.
Mr. Bhanthe, runner up in the voice of Gulmohar Contest sang his favorite song “ peu dj ’’ appreciated by huge applause. Mrs Geeta Jha recited a self composed poem. Mrs Krishana Dev sang “All of us enjoyed her singing and joined the beautiful song, all time favorite of all.
Mr K M Azad presented token birthday gifts to all birthday boys and girls. That was followed by cutting of cake and high tea.
