Join BFA’s noble cause of empowering women with literacy
Looks for All (BFA), a not-for-profit trust in Eldeco Utopia, Sector 93A, Noida, made a small beginning in November 2021 – to empower analphabetic women of the neighbourhood, through the ‘Sankalp’ Adult Literacy Programme. The objective of this initiative was to encourage women by enabling them to read and write.
With a firm belief that literacy is critical for empowering women to gain confidence, hold their head high in the society and earn income by starting small ventures, BFA appointed a qualified teacher to conduct the literacy sessions in a school in Gejha Village. At present 10 women are regularly attending classes. No fee is charged from the participants.
Apart from reading, writing and mathematics, BFA also conducts sessions and expert talks on topics like nutrition and health, financial literacy etc. so as to give them wider exposure to issues that are important for them and their families. BFA has also introduced classes in English for women who have already learnt Hindi.
If your domestic help is an analphabetic woman, BFA requests you to spare her for one hour and help enrol her into our literacy classes which are conducted three days a week from 02:00 to 03:00 pm. For registration you can contact Sudha: 9810738338 or Hina: 9711765695.
