IAS Officer (DD Mishra) Back in the Saddle After a 9 Yr Gap
Ghanshyam Gupta & Vandana Shukla led team made almost a clean sweep of the RWA elections by winning 10 out of the 11 seats. The lone winner of the opposing group was past president
Inderjit Sial.
The elections established that Ghanshyam still has strong hold on the sector support. After the results were declared and at the time when office bearers were being elected Inderjit Sial who was left out as the lone candidate from his team resigned and gave the new incumbents his seat to co-opt another candidate of their choice. Sial will be able to participate and give his contribution in the RWA as the ex-officio past president.
Following is the final list of candidates who won and votes polled: 1. Ghanshyam Gupta 254, Vandana Shukla 241, Rajesh Khanna 231, Mayank Gupta 214, Swati Gaur 211, Inderjit Sial 200, Ajay Mohan Goel 197, Madhu Gupta 197, Godfrey Pereira 196, Meghna Jindal 193 and DD Mishra 189. The returning officer was Abhikalp Pratap Singh.
