In the first week of March, there was a news item about the death of a worker on a construction site in South City 1. We came to know that the location of the site was in Silokhra village adjacent to South City.
Considering the above incident SCRWA reiterates that the owner/contractor shall ensure the safety &security of his/her staff during construction. He/she will be responsible for any loss of life, injury and/or any other damage. – The owner is advised to take a policy for CONSTRUCTION SITE INSURANCE to protect her/himself financially.
SCRWA feels that it is important to re-iterate other guidelines to be followed at all Construction Sites in South City-1.
• The owner acknowledges that the construction shall be done within compliance with building plans, sanctions, permissions etc. as approved by the competent authority.
• The Owner/Contractor shall not damage or demolish any structural part of any other building and follow building guidelines issued by SCRWA Team from time to time.
• The owner/contractor shall barricade the area within the Tin-sheet/Green net during the contraction period.
• The owner/contractor shall keep the construction material/machines within his plot, or any other designated area identified by SCRWA Team.
• The owner/contractor will rectify/repair/reimburse at their own cost, any leakage or damage which may occur to any structural part of any other building/structure in the vicinity and/or any other part of the Project or to the common areas while carrying out the construction on his /her Plot.
• The owner/contractor shall ensure that all Malba/Debris will be removed at his/her own cost.
• The owner/contractor shall ensure that the construction work shall not create any hindrance in the execution of work being carried out by other residents.
• The owner/contractor shall ensure to take utmost care to minimize noise, vibration and dust production while handling machines and processes used during Construction works.
• The User shall not store any hazardous material / combustible material in the plot.
• Block/SCRWA security is not responsible for any loss of material.
