On the occasion of the celebration of the 5161st Geeta Jayanti, we had a blissful time with Charu Agarwal Aunty, who came to teach kids about the importance of reading Geeta paath and recited some shaloks, aarti, and Hanuman Chalisa paath in PND park on the 8th of December. Drawings of Krishna were given to kids for colouring which they all did with great zest.
It was so heartening to see little kids listening to and answering a simple quiz on the Geeta. Their prior knowledge about Krishna delighted everyone. Parshaad was distributed afterwards by Charu Agarwalji’s family to all.
Thanks to Rooplekha aunty, Seema Kandhariji, Anita aunty, Jaya aunty, and Aman Agarwalji for coming and making it special for us. What was so wonderful was to see these otherwise restless kids sit so still with their eyes closed and listen with complete interest in whatever was being taught to them. It made us feel our efforts were well paid off.
Charu Agarwal ji has recently won the first-place award for completing the learning of the Geeta paath. She’s totally dedicated and devoted to spreading her learnings with everyone and tries her best to spread awareness and instill traditional values in kids. Truly wonderful to have such beautiful people in our society.
