On 12th Feb 2023 World Billiards Champion Geet Sethi inaugurated Billiards Room at New Friends Club.
It was a gala event; members were excited as they were waiting for the colourful balls to dance here and there with and without stick on the magnificent new green table. Geet demonstrated trick shots, the onlookers enjoyed the most. The Room was converted into step stadium.
The President Anil Datta was seemingly happy and confident with his committee members S Arbinder Singh Kohli, Saurabh Jain, Abhay Sharma, Arun Jaggi and Suman Mehta.
Geet Sethi 8 times World Champion & Arjuna Awardee emphasised that our Parents should support children to play. He was hopeful that cue sport will come up in Asian Games roster for 2023 edition.
Delhi Billiards and Snooker Association President Vijay Goel, Secretary Ravi Tandon & Founder member of DBSA Nirmal Khandelwal graced the occasion.
The opening ceremony was followed by High Tea in the Chhabra Lounge.
